Nice to meet you... Your Thai chef in Staines
"Sawasdee kha"...it means "Hello" in Thai language for a lady and "Sawadee Krab" is for a man.
I come from a small seaside town in Thailand called Cha-am where my family live just 5 minutes from the beach. I have grown up around Thai food and learnt how to cook from a young age with my mother. Also, being near the sea there was always plenty of fresh sea food available to cook.
As well as Thai food I also love different food from around the world. That's why I decided to change my career from being a nurse to study full-time to become a Chef. I Qualified with Leiths Diploma in Food and Wine (Merit) from Leiths School Of Food and Wine in London July 2014. I enjoyed work experience at Sofitel Hotel Heathrow in the Kitchen section and their fine dining French restaurant. Another highlight of the year was working as part of the Singapore Food Day 2014 where I helped prepare food and serve 10,000 Singaporeans and guests. I am now working as a freelance Chef in a variety of different venues as diverse as catering at Farnborough Airshow to Fine dinning at weddings or event days at Royal Windsor Race Course. It's very busy but so much fun and different everyday. I am currently really enjoying cooking for a private family in London every week. I also love Patisserie and occasionally run cake and bakery classes. You can see examples of my work on:
